It’s confirmed! The first big name to be in Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss House for Colors’ 11th season of the popular reality show is television’s big star Hina Khan. The actress, known as Akshara – her character in the popular saas-bahu teleserial Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has reportedly been roped in by the channel to bring the glitz to the show.
Hina’s name was under consideration for the past few seasons of Bigg Boss and she has been confirmed, finally. Sources say that Hina was offered a whopping amount to be a part of the reality series.
Interestingly, last year the actress’ on-screen husband Karan Mehra and son Rohan Mehra from Ye Rishtaalso participated in the controversial show. With her entry now, Hina becomes the third person from the cast of Ye Rishta to be Bigg Boss.
Hina first stepped out of the Star Group when she took part in Colors’ high-octane Fear Factor: Khatro Ke Khiladi this year. At that time, there was speculation that she would be appearing in the 11th installment of the reality TV show as Colors was keen on continuing its association with her.
The actress rose to fame with Star Plus’ daily soap and there was buzz recently that she was offered the role of a sex-worker (tawaiff) for a fiction show on the channel as her comeback after Ye Rishta. But after watching the daredevil stunts she pulled for Fear Factor: KKK, television audiences are interested in seeing how the actress might fare in the Bigg Boss house next.
With just a week left for India’s most controversial show to go on air on primetime TV, Hina Khan’s participation has fuelled speculation about who the other participants to enter the Bigg Boss house will be.
