Vikram, also known as Chiyaan Vikram, was reportedly admitted to a hospital in Chennai on Thursday after he complained of uneasiness. According to a news portal's report, the actor suffered a heart attack and underwent angioplasty. Reportedly, he is stable and might be discharged from the hospital today. 

According to the report, Vikram will not attend the teaser launch of his upcoming film Ponniyin Selvan, which is scheduled to take place in Chennai this evening. It is being reported that after resting for a couple of days, he will mark his presence at the audio launch of Cobra on Monday, July 11.

An official statement from Vikram's team is yet to be issued. The team of Ponniyin Selvan also hasn't spoken about his absence as of now.
