Mahesh Babu's elder brother Ramesh Babu breathes his last, condolences pour in

Renowned Telugu actor and producer Ramesh Babu breathed his last on Saturday. He was the elder brother of superstar Mahesh Babu. According to reports, Ramesh Babu was battling liver-related ailments for a long time, however, his demise was sudden. 

The Ghattamaneni family issued a statement on Ramesh Babu's demise. On GMB Entertainment's Twitter account, the statement was shared. "It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Ghattamaneni Ramesh Babu garu. He will continue to live in our hearts forever. In light of the current circumstances, we request all our well-wishers to adhere to the Covid-19 norms and avoid gathering at the cremation venue," the statement read.

It is still unclear whether Mahesh Babu and his family will be able to attend Ramesh Babu's last rites as the former has tested COVID-19 positive on returning from Dubai. 

Members of the Telugu film industry mourned the demise of Ramesh Babu. Chiranjeevi tweeted, "Shocked and deeply saddened by the demise of Shri.G.Ramesh babu. My heartfelt condolences to Shri.Krishna garu, @urstrulyMahesh and all the family members. May the Almighty give strength to the family to cope with the tragic loss."

Ramesh was the son of Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna, known as Krishna Garu, and acted in films like Bazaar Rowdy, Mugguru Kodukulu to name a few. He turned to production after taking retirement from acting.
