Prabhas is teaming up with the KGF franchise's director Prashanth Neel for a thriller titled Salaar. The film stars Shruti Haasan as the leading lady. Salaar was announced in December 2020. The film went on floors in January in Hyderabad. Now, as fans are excited to learn more about the thriller, the makers shared an update.
Salaar will be releasing in theatres on April 14, 2022. Sharing the announcement, the makers wrote, " Worldwide #Salaar On , . We can't wait to celebrate with you all #Salaar14Apr22"

Salaar will be bankrolled by Hombale Films and is said to be along the lines of Prashanth's directorial debut Ugramm (2014) which revolved around a hero who fights against the thugs for a social cause.
