Popular actress Ramya Krishnan landed in trouble on June 11. The Bahubali actress's car was seized by the Chennai police after reportedly finding numerous bottles of beer and wine. According to reports, Ramya along with her sister Vinaya Krishnan and driver Selvakumar was returning to Chennai from Mahabalipuram. The car was stopped by the Police for a regular check at Muthukadu check post. Post finding several bottles, the Police took the driver Selvakumar into their custody for illegal possession of alcohol. Selvakumar was reportedly taken to Kanathur police station and later released on bail. A police officer confirmed the news to a leading daily and mentioned that they discovered two crates of beer and eight bottles of liquor inside Ramya's Toyota Innova Crysta.
"On Thursday night, a regular vehicle check was conducted on ECR, when vehicles coming from Mahabalipuram in Chengalpattu district towards Chennai were stopped. Similarly, a Toyota Innova Crysta belonging to the actor was stopped at Muthukadu check post and police found two crates of beer and eight bottles of liquor inside the vehicle," the police told.

Ramya was last seen in MX Player's web series Queen based on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister late J Jayalalithaa. It is said to be based on Anita Sivakumaran's book, The Queen. She will feature in Puri Jagannadh's pan-India film with Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday.
