The episode of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 begins with Mohini on her way to the Sharma house with her brother Navin. She assures him that Rajesh would be happy to give Prerna’s hand to him. Rajesh falls ill and Prerna worries for him. Her mother shares how he has been unable to pay Moloy’s debt. Prerna asks him not to worry and that she would find a solution to it.
Rajesh, Veena, and Prerna go downstairs and greet Mohini and Navin. Rajesh tells her he won’t be able to pay their debt this year. After Prerna goes to college, Mohini tells them that she has come with Naveen’s marriage proposal for Prerna. They get shocked and reject the proposal, and tell Mohini that they are not ready to sell her daughter. Mohini leaves the house in anger. Mohini's brother insists on marrying Prerna. Mohini calls her family lawyer and asks him to send a legal notice to Prerna’s father for their loan of Rs 15 lakh or else to mortgage their home.
Prerna’s good friend Anjali goes to gift a rose to Anurag since it is Rose day. But Anurag declines it. Many girls give roses to Anurag. He is left with no option but to accept them. Later, Anurag drops Prerna back home.
Prerna tells her mother that Anurag dropped her home. She yells at Prerna and asks her to stay away from the Basu's. Prerna learns from her Bhabhi about the marriage proposal and feels upset.
