Storyline
‘Thamma’ begins in a mysterious forest that holds many legends and mysteries. Here, some old guard begins to reawaken. In the film, Ayushmann Khurrana plays Alok, a small-town journalist whose life changes completely after a strange incident. As the story progresses, Ayushmann's performance becomes more impressive. Rashmika Mandanna infuses her character with freshness and energy, bringing every scene to life on screen. The film's most thrilling moment comes when Alok confronts the wolf (Varun Dhawan). The action sequence between the two is truly enhanced by international-level VFX. It seems as if there is a deep connection between the two characters, the secret of which will be revealed in the future. The film also features the "Sar Kata" sequence from Stree 2, which will once again give audiences a sense of both fear and excitement.
Acting
The pairing of Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna is refreshing and captivating. The chemistry between them keeps the audience captivated. Meanwhile, Nawazuddin Siddiqui brings the film to life with his excellent dialogue delivery and timing — every punchline hits the spot. Veteran actor Paresh Rawal brings a perfect blend of seriousness and spontaneity to his role. Faisal Malik and the rest of the cast also play their parts admirably.
