Storyline
‘Ufff Yeh Siyapaa’ is the confused story of Kesari Lal Singh (Sohum Shah), whose life gets completely messed up due to a drug delivery mistake and misunderstandings. The situation becomes such that his house itself starts looking like a crime scene. Meanwhile, his wife Pushpa (Nushrratt Bharuccha) suspects that her husband is getting close to neighbor Kamini (Nora Fatehi). The entry of Inspector Hasmukh (Omkar Kapoor) and his own secrets complicate the story further. The film creates laughter and confusion without speaking a single word, just through expressions and situations.
Acting
In silent cinema, the biggest burden is on body language and facial expressions of the actors. In this case, Soham Shah, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Nora Fatehi have done great jobs. Their comic timing and expressions are very effective. Sharib Hashmi and Omkar Kapoor also make this "Siyapaa" more interesting.
Direction
G. Ashok has set out on a completely different kind of experimental journey. Making a film without dialogues is not easy, but he has tried to create a balance of slapstick humor and thrill. Although the story seems to be stretched at some places, the comedy and confusion keep the audience engaged.
Music
When there are no dialogues in the film, the background music becomes the real hero. A.R. Rahman's music takes the film to a different level. His tunes sometimes create a light and sometimes a suspenseful atmosphere, which is the biggest plus point of the film.
Overall
‘Ufff Yeh Siyapaa’ is definitely a fun experiment. If you want to watch something different and funny, then this film is good to lighten your mood.
