Storyline
The story is simple, easy to guess, but the conviction with which it is shown touches the heart. Angry but talented singer Krissh Kapoor (Ahaan Pandey) meets heartbroken journalist Vaani Batra (Aneet Padda). Initially there is conflict between the two, but gradually love blossoms. Then at a turn, Vaani is diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Krissh leaves his career and supports Vaani. The tone of the film changes but not drastically, and that is its beauty.
Acting
The soul of the film is its two new faces, Ahaan and Aneet. Ahaan looks quite impressive in emotional scenes, while Aneet's performance is very balanced and sensitive. The chemistry between the two is natural and is expressed more through the eyes. It is commendable for new actors to show such grip. Alam Khan deserves a special mention for being the wittiest in the film.
Direction
Mohit Suri has once again beautifully adapted a classic love story to present times. Directing new faces in such a refined manner is indeed his strong point.
Dialogues
The dialogues will feel like their own to every lover. Some lines are so resonant that they settle in the heart. Especially in romantic moments, the dialogues become even more effective.
Music
This film is a musical treat. Its title track has already taken over social media and is worth adding to the playlist as soon as you hear it. The songs make the story even more emotional and rich.
Overall
If you like classic Bollywood love stories, Saiyaara will silently
touch you deep inside.
