The pride of India MS Dhoni poses with PM Narendra Modi after receiving the Padma Bhushan

It was a proud moment for the whole of India as Mahendra Singh Dhoni walked towards the dias, formally clad, to receive the most prestigious award in the country.

Today MS Dhoni was honored with the Padma Bhushan by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind.

MS also holds the rank of Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel and wore his official uniform of the Territorial Army for the ceremony. He is seen with the Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi in this picture.

Sakshi Dhoni was beside him as always. Looking beautiful in a yellow sari, Sakshi joined her husband for the epic picture.

MS Dhoni lovingly called Mahi, is the only second Indian to reach the 1st position on LG’s ICC ODI batting rankings. It is also coincidental that Dhoni received this award on the same day that India won the world cup in 2011. The world cup was won under his captaincy. With the IPL round the corner, we are sure to see more of MS Dhoni in action.
