Aishwarya visited and Manish Malhotra wanted to shout it from the rooftops!

We must excuse designer Manish Malhotra for instantly rushing to upload pics of Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan, with the gushy caption: “At home with my absolute favourites @bachchan#aishwaryaraibachchan #Bff @karanjohar#Friends #funevening #positivity #love.”

The designer had recently faced some serious flak, for his less-than-acceptable designs for Ash’s character in Fanney Khan. The duo had worked well together in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil but apparently Manish simply did not put the same time and effort into the creation of Ash’s costumes for their current project.

Jaws dropped when on the eve of her first day of shooting, Ash took a call and informed the director that she would not shoot! Producer Prernaa Arora had admitted that they had been all set to shoot with Aishwarya but the costumes were not to her satisfaction. “Costumes play a big role in the film as she portrays the character of a diva,” Prernaa explained. “She is creatively involved in every detail and since the costumes were not ready, she didn’t want to start work just yet. When I learnt this, I decided to postpone the shoot. Aishwarya wants to look perfect in the film and she will not accept anything that is not up to the mark.”

Evidently, Manish has learnt his lesson since then and has gone back to the drawing board to give Ash costumes that are not just up to the mark but well above it! And who can blame him for letting the world know that all was well between him and his finicky heroine! Manish even escorted Ash, who donned a simple look in a denim dress with beige heels, to her car.

Buzz goes that seeing Ash so focused and dedicated as she play the role of a superstar singer, producer Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has actually decided to increase her screen time. Fanney Khan is the official Indian remake of the Dutch film Everybody’s Famous, but Ash has now bagged herself a far more important role than the actress who played her part in the original film. Why are we not surprised!
