Today, the entire country is celebrating the auspicious festival of Mahashivratri. The festival is celebrated in honour of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Several celebrities took to social media to wish their fans on the revered festival. Hrithik Roshan’s parents, director Rakesh Roshan and Pinkie Roshan were seen performing the traditional Mahashivratri puja at their family temple in Panvel today.
Rakesh wore white T-shirt and white pants while Pinkie wore a pink salwaz kameez as they upheld their family tradition. The Mahashivratri puja at the family temple has been going on for decades with Hrithik’s maternal grandfather, J.Om Prakash starting the tradition.
Pinkie also took to Instagram and remembered her father. She shared a picture with Om Prakash and wished everyone on Mahashivratri. “Har har Mahadev love you daddy Miss you daddy," she captioned the picture.
Rakesh and Pinkie did the puja coupled with the Shiva abhishek with milk and offered prasad to the devotees. This year, Hrithik was absent from the ceremony but he had accompanied his parents along with ex-wife Sussane Khan and sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan in previous years.
