Dev Patel is making his directorial debut with the upcoming international project, Monkey Man. Inspired by the tales of Lord Hanuman, the film will release theatrically on April 5. The trailer was released digitally on Friday. 

Monkey Man is popular pan-India actress Sobhita Dhulipala's Hollywood debut. She shares the screen space with Dev for the first time in a pivotal role. The trailer gives a glimpse of Sobhita's character and generates the right amount of intrigue. 

Monkey Man also stars Makarand Deshpande, Sikandar Kher, Sharlto Copley, Pitobash and Vipin Sharma. It is produced by Jordan Peele.
