Scarlett Johannson is attached to produce Tower of Terror, the new Disney film based on its theme park ride. It is yet unclear whether she will star in the film or not. The film would be directed by Josh Cooley who is also penning the script. The plot details are being kept tightly under wraps. Scarlett is producing the film via her These Pictures banner with Jonathan Lia.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror opened in 1994 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida, with other Tower of Terror rides opening subsequently at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, France’s Walt Disney Studios Park and Tokyo DisneySea. The ride is famous for its terrifying drop at the end. Tower of Terror was previously made into a TV series that premiered in 1997 and starred Steve Guttenberg and Kirsten Dunst.
