Black Widow trailer: Scarlett Johansson is back as Natasha Romanoff with more glimpses of her origin story before she joined the Avengers

A new trailer of Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow that traces the original story of Natasha Romanoff has been unveiled. The trailer is so promising that it gets difficult to wait for its theatrical release on July 9 and on Disney+ Premiere. The new footage has a voiceover from Scarlett and shows glimpses from Avengers: Endgame reminding the viewers that Natasha died in the film and Black Widow is a prequel.

The trailer shows Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronting the darker parts of her life when a dangerous conspiracy tied to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

In the voiceover, she says, “I made mistakes choosing between what the world wants you to be and who you are…We have to go back to where it all started…One thing’s for sure, I’m done running from my past.” There is also new footage of her as a kid with multi-colored hair.

Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina. Black Widow—the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe—is directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige. The action-packed spy thriller will launch in Indian theaters on July 9, 2021 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
