Grammys 2021: Beyonce creates history, becomes the most decorated female artiste with 28 trophies

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards were postponed from January 31 to March 14 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ceremony took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The awards that honour the best recordings, compositions and artistes of the year saw Beyonce creates history. 

Beyonce, with 28 Grammys now, became the female artiste with the most trophies. She even surpassed Alison Krauss to become the most decorated female artiste in the history of Grammys. She took home trophies for best R&B performance for Black Parade, best music video for Brown Skin Girl as well as best rap performance and best rap song for Savage with Megan Thee Stallion.

On the stage, Beyonce said, "As an artist I believe it's my job, and all of our jobs, to reflect time and it's been such a difficult time." Talking about Black Parade, the singer said it was created to honour the 'beautiful Black kings and queens' in the world. She shared, "I have been working my whole life ... This is such a magical night."
