Disney fans find a strange yet eerie connection between the animated film ‘Tangled’ and Coronavirus

The 2010 animated Disney film Tangled is back in the news. However, albeit, for a very weird and prophetic connection with the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. The hugely successful and well-loved film was based on the classic fairy tale of Rapunzel. Rapunzel tells the story of a young princess who is kidnapped by an evil woman named Mother Gothel who keeps her ‘locked up’ in a tower because her magical hair keeps the latter young. The princess remains in the tower for eighteen long years and interestingly the kingdom where they live is named Corona.

With people being advised to quarantine themselves and stay under self-isolation it made many fans wonder whether the film and the story somehow predicted what was about to come a decade in advance. Social media has been abuzz with people sharing their own theories about Rapunzel, Mother Gothel and Corona. Check out some of the tweets below:
