While Bollywood celebrities headed overseas like Switzerland, Thailand, The Bahamas and The Maldives, some of the well-known Hollywood stars came to India to ring in New Year 2020. Gerard Butler started the new decade with some spirituality in India. He ringed in the New Year in RIshikesh doing Suryanamaskar.
He shared a picture of himself doing suryanamaskar. He captioned the picture saying, "Let your light shine in to the new decade. Sending you all love. Happy New Year from the Himalayas." Industrialist Yash Birla also shared some pictures with Gerard on Instagram. Gerard was supposedly accompanied by girlfriend Morgan Brown.
On the other hand, Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke also celebrated the New Year in the country. She was snapped at the Jaipur airport as she was leaving for Delhi. The picture was shared by a celebrity photographer on his Instagram handle although the image did not show Emilia’s face.
Emilia had visited India last year in August as well with Game of Thrones co-star Rose Leslie. She had described her experience in India "brain-altering".
