Camila Morrone opens up on the 23-year age gap between her and boyfriend actor Leonardo DiCaprio, says the rumours surrounding it are 'frustrating'

Actress and model Camila Morrone has been dating actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, who is 23 years older than her. However, the scrutiny surrounding their relationship doesn't seem to stop because of their age gap. Now as the actress is busy promoting her latest film Mickey and the Bear, she told a leading Hollywood daily, “I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date."

The 22-year-old added that she gets why the public is fascinated by her relationship. “I probably would be curious about it too,” she added. Revealing how the Titanic star is a “sensitive subject” for her, Camila stated that besides a age gap, many assume that he helps her land these roles.

She further hopes that as her career advances, her identity won’t always be attached to the 45-year-old actor. “I think more and more now that people are seeing the film, I’m slowly getting an identity outside of that. Which is frustrating because I feel like there should always be an identity besides who you’re dating ... I understand the association, but I’m confident that will continue to slip away and be less of a conversation," she concluded by saying.
