Rapper-actor Jaden Smith might play rapper Kanye West in an anthology series. Yes, you read that right! Showtime network is currently developing a limited half-hour anthology series that would star Jaden as young Kanye.
The first season of the show, Omniverse, would center on an alternate reality version of Kanye.

The crux of the show is not easily explained but would involve philosophical concepts of perception and ego. Kanye and Scooter Braun are set to executive produce the series. Lee Sung Jin, the co-executive producer of Amazon's Undone, is set to write it.
Smith most recently appeared in the films Life in a Year and Skate Kitchen, and he also had a starring role on two Netflix projects, the animated series Neo Yokio, and Baz Luhrmann’s The Get Down. He also released his debut studio album Syre, in 2017, and has teased another album slated for later this year.
