Singer-actor Jennifer Lopez teams up with Owen Wilson for an upcoming rom-com based on graphic novel 'Marry Me'

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez and actor Owen Wilson are all set to star in the romantic-comedy Marry Me. This will be the second time Jennifer and Owen will appear together on-screen after the action film Anaconda in 1997.

Being directed by Kat Coiro, Marry Me is based on a graphic novel by Bobby Crosby and is focused on a pop star played by Jennifer, who, moments before marrying her rockstar fiance at Madison Square Garden, finds out that he cheated on her with her assistant. She breaks down and picks a random man, played by Owen, out of the crowd to marry instead.

Written by John Rogers, Tami Sagher and Harper Dill, Owen is said to be in the final negotiations to join the film. The film will mark the third collaboration between entertainment company STX and Jennifer following 2018’s Second Act and upcoming film Hustlers.

Adam Fogelson, chairman of STX said, "Owen Wilson is a hilarious and charismatic addition to the film and the perfect person to play opposite Jen in a role that was quite literally made for her. We continue to have amazing experiences with Jennifer with each film we collaborate on and we’re thrilled that STX gets to work on this funny and endearing project.”
