Amid backlash, Kim Kardashian ‘re-evaluates’ her relationship with Balenciaga on controversial ad for ‘sexualizing’ kids

It's another day and another controversy for Balenciaga as it continues to face heavy and hard-hitting criticism following its "disturbing" advertisement campaign that took the internet by storm. The brand has followed up on it by issuing an apology statement that was shared on Instagram which extended the brand's sensitivity towards its partners and the general public. Brand Ambassador Kim Kardashian has come forward to lash out at Balenciaga following the ad campaign.

Let's have our fair share on the events which took place after the Balenciaga blunder:

After people expected her to break the ice sooner rather than later, brand ambassador Kim Kardashian finally spoke out and was "Disgusted" by the images portrayed by Balenciaga. She put out a series of tweets on November 28, shortly after Balenciaga's statement in which she showed her appreciation towards Balenciaga's campaign -removal and apology. However, she wrote, “As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with — & the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children."

To stretch out this mishap, even more, Business of Voices (BoF) took to Instagram and released a statement that overruled its decision to include Balenciaga's creative director Denna in the Global VOICES Award ceremony, 2022.

They followed the decision with a statement that reads, "We asked the leadership at Balenciaga to come to VOICES to take responsibility for releasing these images and offer an explanation. They declined our invitation to speak at this time, but BoF remains open to having this important conversation"
