Unapologetically Herself: Lizzo celebrates her filter less curves on social media to start a conversation on self esteem and beauty standards

Social media campaigns and awareness has brought forth some vital issues that surround the fashion industry, namely body image issues. Various brands like Dove have, over the years, launched various campaigns to bring awareness and sensitivity towards these topics. Celebrities such as Jameela Jamil have constantly thrown more and more light on such issues. One of the most outspoken celebrities of them all is singer Lizzo.

In a recent post on her social media, the singer announced her partnership with the #DoveSelfEsteemProject by posting a strategically covered, unaltered nude photo of herself. With no touch-ups or filters in the picture whatsoever, the singer candidly wrote in her caption, “…I wanna give y’all this unedited selfie. Now normally I would fix my belly and smooth my skin but baby I wanted show u how I do it au natural…”
