Ralph Lauren receives the honorary knighthood by Prince Charles of Wales for his services to fashion


Fashion enthusiasts rejoice! American designer and couturier, Ralph Lauren has received an honorary knighthood for his services to fashion, becoming the first American designer to be awarded UK’s highest honor.

His Royal Highness, Prince Charles presented the award to the renowned designer for his exceptional work in his field in a private ceremony in Buckingham Palace.

Styling and designing creations for a global audience, Lauren has always stayed true to his own style and essence of design. Many celebrities and dignitaries around the globe, including the members of the Royal Family, have often sported his creations.

Lauren’s family was there to support him while he received the KBE conferred upon him by the Queen and presented to him by Prince Charles of Wales.

Although Lauren stepped down as the CEO of the company in 2015, he continues to be the Chief Creative Officer and Executive Chairman of the label.
