A deep-tanned Kim Kardashian faces ire from Diet Prada for ‘black fishing’ on Vogue’s March issue

Kim Kardashian and controversy walk hand in hand and there’s no denying the fact. Case in point- her recent Vogue Issue! The makeup mogul has come under fire for the magazine’s recent cover shoot where she appears to have a darker tone than usual.

Gracing Vogue’s March issue, the reality TV star is seen posing in a metallic number from LOEWE’s Spring Summer 2022 collection. However, what caught the attention of netizens and fashion watchdog Diet Prada, was Kim’s unusually deep tan.

Diet Prada shared a post on its social media handle calling out Kim and Vogue for ‘black fishing’ with the recent issue. Not just this, the eagle-eyed fashion police also picked out the similarities between her latest inside images with that of Naomi Campbell, Beyoncé and singer Nina Simone’s looks from Vogue’s past issues.

However, this isn’t the first time the fashion moghul has come under fire for cultural appropriation. Her first KKW campaign saw Kim sport a darker skin tone causing a huge social media backlash. Learning her lesson, the hard way she then told The New York Times in an interview that her intention was not to hurt anyone. “I have the utmost respect for why people might feel the way they did. But we made the necessary changes to that photo and the rest of the photos. We saw the problem, and we adapted and changed right away. Definitely I have learned from it.”
