Tis the season of drama on Harper’s Bazaar India’s latest issue and coverstar Kalki Koechlin lives exactly up to it! Channeling her inner rock star, the actress reimagined global pop icons ‘David Bowie, Lady Gaga, Rekha, Madonna and Helen’ on the glossy’s latest issue.
DAVID BOWIE
Styled by Who Wore What When, Kalki looked all dapper suited in an ice blue embroidered tuxedo from label Amaare teamed with a vintage Valentino tie. Loud teal lids and an orange wig added to the dramatics of her look.
HELEN
For the next change, Kalki dazzled as the iconic Helen, scattering retro vibes all over the place in sequined crop top, coordinating column skirt, and a tulle scarf, all from label Rudraksh Dwivedi. The OTT feathered headdress from Belinda Bawa and sparkly Goenka India jewels added to the essence of her look.
MADONNA
Next up, the actress pulled off a sexy Madonna donning a faux feather gown from Sameer Madan teamed with a leather glove. Chunky indie accessories from Valliyan and Outhouse added to the pop star vibe.
REKHA
Damn mama! Kalki’s impression as Rekha was spot on with those dramatic curls and bold makeup. The actress sported a sequined dress from Pink Porcupines and decked it up with a pair of dazzling danglers from Varuna D Jani.
LADY GAGA
Saving the best, the stunner pulled out the big guns impersonating Gaga from MET’s 2019 Camp. Donning Jewellyn Alvares’s hot pink gown featuring a statement bow and a train, she indeed looked the part. A matching headgear along with dramatic eyelids and a popping pink pout completed her Gaga look.
