Janhvi Kapoor, Neha Sharma, Vaani Kapoor and others REPORTEDLY amongst Indian celebrities on exclusive dating app ‘Raya’

Leaving behind Tinder, Bumble and other dating apps, Raya is creating a lot of buzz these days. Launched in 2015, Raya identifies itself as “an exclusive dating and networking platform for people in creative industries,” as stated by the US Magazine. Quite popular amongst the international celebrities, reports are that Raya has now found its new users from the Indian film industry!

Leading daily, Indian Express recently reported that actresses Janhvi Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, Neha Sharma, Sonal Chauhan, Anushka Ranjan, Lisa Mishra are members of Raya. Unlike your regular applications, this celebrity dating app has a long waiting list with an acceptance rate lower than that of Harvard University. It requires the celebrities to fill out the applications and then later are either accepted, rejected or placed on the waiting list. Damn!

This ‘invite-only’ dating application follows a strict code of conduct with no breaches in privacy. Members are not supposed to expose names of other celebs or take screenshots of their profiles. This could get the users being thrown out. The website also offers a unique ‘hide’ feature for its users that will prevent others to see their profiles if they are uncomfortable for any reason. “Doing so will preserve conversations you’ve had with other members but will prevent any new members from seeing your profile,” as mentioned on its website.

Hollywood sensations like Ben Affleck, Channing Tatum, Demi Lovato, John Mayer, Channing Tatum, Cara Delevingne, and Lizzo are reportedly amongst the international celebrities on this dating app. Raya came into the public eye after a woman on TikTok claimed to have matched with Affleck.
