Rohit Shetty's upcoming actioner Sooryavanshi is one of the most anticipated films of the year. After a delay of around 18 months, the film is set to release in theatres on November 5. Rohit, who is known to be Bollywood's hit machine, trusted Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif to tell the story of an ATS chief and his family in the actioner. This is not Akshay and Katrina's first film together. Making for a stunning on-screen pair, they have worked together in a total of 6 films before Sooryavanshi.
Katrina, who is now a popular star, did her second Bollywood film as the female lead with Akshay. Akshay played the role of Aditya and Katrina was Jia. On her trip to Canada, Jia got introduced to Aditya. Despite being engaged to different people, Aditya and Jia fell in love with each other. The film revolved around how they realised their feelings for each other.
Namaste London
Namaste London was one of Akshay and Katrina's most successful films. The chemistry between Katrina's London-born Jasmeet and Akshay's desi Arjun struck the right chord with the audience. Oh, how can we forget the song Main Jahaan Rahoon by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan?

Akshay and Katrina reunited for Anees Bazmee's Welcome (2007). The former played the role of Rajiv, who fell in love with Sanjana, the sister of a don. The entire chaos started when Rajiv's uncle, played by Paresh Rawal, refused to accept the alliance. Once again, fans enjoyed watching the actors together on-screen. The film, despite mixed reviews, became the second highest-grossing film of that year.
Singh Is Kinng
A year later, Akshay and Katrina reunited with Anees Bazmee for the super successful Singh Is Kinng. Akshay played the role of Happy whereas Katrina was Sonia. The conflict in the love story was Puneet (Ranvir Shorey), who also liked Sonia. She was the one who got trapped between Happy and Puneet. Not only their chemistry, but their performances won the hearts of the audience. One cannot simply forget how beautifully they performed to Shreya Ghoshal's song Teri Ore.
De Dana Dan
Katrina starred opposite Akshay as his ladylove in De Dana Dan. Once again, their work was appreciated by the audience. It was certain that Akshay and Katrina were the hit pair of the 2000s. Their sizzling chemistry in the song Gale Lag Ja is still fresh in everyone's mind.
