Piku - 80 crores

Gunday - 78 crores

Despite the fact that Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor were 'gunday' in this film with Priyanka Chopra as a central element as well, Irrfan Khan brightened up the screen whenever he made an appearance. The film took a huge opening on its release and went on to be a good earner.

Hindi Medium - 69.59 crores

This was THE Irrfan Khan film as he played the central protagonist and made sure that audiences had all eyes only for him. The film started on a fair note and then went on to grow huge on the basis of word of mouth. The film even saw a second in the franchise in the form of Angrezi Medium, which is unfortunately his last release.

Thank You - 46.57 crores

A four hero film with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Bobby Deol and Irrfan Khan in principle roles, the Aneez Bazmee comedy had the actor displaying his comic timing to the fullest. The Aneez Bazmee entertainer wasn't a commercial success per se but audiences saw a different side of Irrfan for sure.

New York - 45.40 crores

One of the best films of Irrfan Khan where he had an author backed role, this Kabir Khan geo-political thriller was spearheaded by John Abraham, Katrina Kaif and Neil Nitin Mukesh. It would have been incomplete though without Irrfan Khan's presence as he featured from beginning till the end.

Talvar - 31 crores

Yet another film other than Hindi Medium where he was the central protagonist, Talvar had Irrfan Khan at his best as he battled bureaucracy as well as politics at the highest ranks to crack the murder case of Aarushi Talwar. He was simply brilliant in the film which was also premiered at TIFF.

Jazbaa - 26 crores

As he joined hands with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was out on a mission, Jazbaa was a stylish thriller by Sanjay Gupta which featured Irrfan Khan as a cop. The film boasted of quite some dialogue-baazi and Irrfan Khan made sure that he entertained all over again as a pro.

Life in a Metro - 15.83 crores

One of the earliest Bollywood releases of Irrfan Khan where he had started making a mark as a commercial hero, Life in a Metro was an ensemble affair by director Anurag Basu. His scene with Konkona Sen Sharma where the two bare their heart out is still remembered till date.

Paan Singh Tomar - 15 crores

Irrfan Khan impressed one and all with his sportsperson turned dacoit role in Paan Singh Tomar, which also emerged as his solo success. The film started on a slow note but then went on to do quite well on the basis of word of mouth.

Yeh Saali Zindagi - 12.10 crores

An underrated film of Irrfan Khan which actually deserved to cover a much greater distance that it actually did, this Sudhir Mishra directed affair was a decent success. Yeh Saali Zindagi had Irrfan Khan in a quirky role and along with Chitrangda Singh and Arunoday Singh, he made sure that audiences were supremely entertained.
