Celebrations are in tinsel town as celebrity designers Kunal Rawal and Arpita Mehta solidified their commitment after dating for over a decade now. Surrounded by celebrity friends and family the couple said “I do” in a dreamy yet intimate ceremony on August 28 at Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. While the dreamy aura and luxe décor were certainly one of the highlights of the wedding, it was the sartorial choices of the bride and groom that took the cake away. Being designers themselves, they made sure to go out with their absolute best on the most important day of their lives.
From winning our hearts by twinning in black for their classy cocktail to being a royal couple in gold and ivory ensembles, this madly-in-love duo dressed to the nines from head to toe from their own labels. Let’s have a look at their exquisite fits.
Classy Cocktails
Kunal and Arpita looked so stunning as they twinned in black. Arpita wore this gorgeous black sheer saree with embroidery all over it with a shimmering cut sleeve black blouse featuring a plunging neckline with it. She opted for black smokey eyes and nude lips for the makeup and a silver maangteeka with a beautiful necklace and a pair of earrings glammed her look even more. Complementing his lady love Kunal looked stunning in his black Patiala kurta set with a Nehru jacket on top of it and a coat. The kurta featured some knot details and the jacket and coat had shimmer details. He accessorized his look with some rings and looked quite dapper as he looks well groomed. He finished off his look with a pair of shiny black shoes. So hot!
Mehendi Magic
The stunning fashion couple followed all the traditions for their wedding and for the mehendi ceremony the bride-to-be Arpita Mehta wore a mint green heavily embroidered lehenga and choli. She teamed it up with a multi-tiered necklace, jhoomar earrings, and a maangteeka. The fashion designer opted for glam makeup, shimmer eyeshadow, eyeliner, kohled eyes, and nude lips. She completed her look with a neat bun hairdo, whereas the groom-to-be, Kunal, didn’t go OTT with his looks. He wore a simple off-white sherwani.
Wedding Ceremony
Saving the best for the last, the bride and groom exuded nothing but regalia with their non-quintessential trousseau. The very beautiful bride, Arpita Mehta ditched the classic red lehenga look and looked stunning in a heavily embellished gold and ivory lehenga with a matching choli and a net dupatta. The lehenga-choli set featured mirrorwork all over it and a long mesh dupatta styled as a veil and stood out in the overall ensemble. Kaleeras and kunkan necklace, maangteeka, and matching earrings enhanced her royal bridal look even more. On the other hand, Kunal looked dapper in a sherwani twinning with his bride with a matching turban and a doshala. Can’t take our eyes off this gorgeous duo.
