After a long wait and much anticipation, fashion made a dramatic comeback in showbiz in the form of the International Indian Film Academy Awards, popularly known as IIFA. Held on June 4 at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, this star-studded gala paved the way for a sartorial extravaganza like none other.
From scintillating gowns to power suits, the green carpet of the event bore witness to all. Scroll down to see the glam bam looks from the gala:
Nora emerged like a true-blue fashionista on the green carpet dressed in her figure-skimming Michael Cinco gown that featured crystal embellishments along with a daring thigh-high slit. A delicate diamond necklace accentuated the look of her feisty neckline. Elevating her look was the BOMB glam ft shimmery winged eyes, a striking red pout and her long locks styled in old Hollywood curls.
Kriti walked straight out of a fairytale onto the green carpet decked up in a crystal-embellished Michael Cinco gown that came with hot mesh deets and a vibrant ruffled train. Her outfit was jazzed with minimal bling, a subtle glam and a neatly done hair bun.
Tamannaah amped up the glamour quotient of the gala with her dazzling Amit Aggarwal couture gown that came with a feisty neckline and a cape train detailing. Making her outfit the hero of her look, the diva opted for a subdued glam, minimalist bling and styled her locks in beach waves.
Shahid looked every bit dapper in a black velvet Gaurav Gupta suit that bore dazzling embellishment. A pair of shiny shoes and a well-groomed look added its charm to his OOTD!
Jacqueline added to the glitz and glam of the gala in a dazzling Falguni Shane Peacock saree gown that bore a stunning drape train. The actress went easy on the accessories opting for a pair of dainty drop danglers and put together her look with a subtle glam.
DIVYA KHOSLA KUMAR
Divya channeled her inner swan dressed in a pearl-embellished Michael Cinco gown that bore a dramatic ruffled train. A delicate diamond necklace, dewy glam and soft curls completed her princess-y look.
Vicky raised the josh of the soiree with his 007-ish Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna tux featuring embellishments and textures. A fancy bow tie and uber-cool glasses put together his dapper look.
Sharvari opted for a dreamy Abhishek Sharma gown that came with 3D motifs and tulle. Her halter-neck outfit was elevated further with elegant earrings, a radiant glam and soft tousled curls.
ANANYA PANDAY AND SARA ALI KHAN
Ditching the extravagant gowns, Ananya transformed into a saree naari at the soiree draped in a sequin-embellished Manish Malhotra creation. Minimal accessories coupled with an understated glamour was the route to take with this look. Elevating the elegance of her look were her long locks styled in soft romantic curls.
Sara too, opted for a desi Faraz Manan look featuring a pearl-embedded peplum top and a pair of matching palazzo pants. Her look was kept subtle with barely-there glam and soft curls. Umm, going ethnic for a glam bam soiree…was the risk truly paid off? It’s a no-love-no-hate look for us, what are your thoughts on this?
Star-studded gala indeed!
