Keeping a six-feet distance, the ten-day fashion affair at the 77th Venice Film Festival this year witnessed many new things, face mask being one of them. Being the first film festival since the pandemic of COVID-19, we expected nothing but an extravagant sartorial soiree and oh boy, it did not let us down! Glamorous gowns to crisp tuxedos and flowy summer dresses, even pandemic couldn’t stop this fashion storm!
Amongst all others, one stunner who stood out was none other than Australian actress and the fest’s jury head Cate Blanchett. Unlike other celebrities, Cate championed sustainability and re-worked some of her iconic red carpet looks at the gala. Needless to say, it was love at second sight.

Its indeed chic to repeat and so Blanchett revamped her Esteban Cortazar sequined gown that she wore back in 2015.
IN ALEXANDER MC QUEEN
Blanchett slipped in her floral Mc Queen top with a blazer twist. The actress has donned the creation back in 2016 and by the looks of it, things haven’t changed a bit.
For a red carpet appearance, Kate rocked an asymmetric dress with exploded ruffles, from the label’s collection that featured a tulle tier and a statement sleeve. She teamed her look with a deconstructed tailored jacket and sleek black pumps.
IN ACNE STUDIOS
For another event, Cate reworked her 2018 Acne Studios suit that bore a cutwork embroidery on its blazer. This time, the stunner paired it with a classy black shirt and teamed up the mandate mask.
IN LOUIS VUITTON
The actress teamed up her iconic 2016 LV tee with a smart striped blazer and fitted pants. Those leather shoes and a Gucci bag accentuated her look furthermore.
IN GIORGIO ARMANI
Blanchett looked nothing less than a style goddess in this feisty gown from Armani that she wore at Cannes 2015. The risqué plunge, the dramatic bow and that fancy train, its love all over again!
Going high on hues, embellishments and mesh detailing, Cate closed the gala with a bang. Her encrusted corset gown was layered with a mesh cape that featured vibrant hues and embellishments. So chic, we love!
