IIFA 2019: Karan Johar’s padded shoulders to Ranveer Singh’s ‘Gogo look’, check out the BEST and the WORST dressed men from the soiree

The 20th edition of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards which was held yesterday at Mumbai, paved way for oodles of sartorial inspiration as our B-town divas and dapper dudes appeared dressed in their fashionable best. With their opulent looks, sexy silhouettes and magnetic charisma, the tinsel town celebs set ablaze the green carpet of the gala.

Bollywood’s handsome hunks embraced their edgy side and graced the green carpet of the soiree with a lot of drama. Unconventional yet classy suits, uber-cool accessories, the men went all out to amp up their style game. While some managed to score the brownie points, others ran out of their sartorial luck.

Check out who was fab and who was drab straight from the gala:

KARAN JOHAR

Fashion’s own man and maverick Karan pulled off an uber-bold yet classy look and we sure are bowled! Styled by Nikita Jaisinghani, Karan opted for his staple black but with a sexy twist. His Gaurav Gupta suit featured textured padded sleeves. Super cool Gucci accessories (including his sexy ‘KJ’ ring) accentuated his outfit furthermore whereas glasses from Dior gave his attire an edge. WOW!

AYUSHMANN KHURRANA – APARSHAKTI KHURANA

With textured sleeves and pastel hues, Ayushmann is here to slay.

Styled by Isha Bhansali, Khurrana looked every bit dapper his textured suit paired with suave shoes.

Following his brother’s footsteps, Aparshakti was dressed to kill in a maroon-velvet number from label Manish Malhotra. He paired his dapper suit with sleek black shoes. Loving the unconventional frill and floral deets on the blazer!

SHAHID KAPOOR

Styled by Anisha Jain, Shahid’s all-black avatar in Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna scored a brownie point. Kapoor wore an embellished black suit for the night and may we say, he definitely rocked the hell out of it. Pairing his black ensemble with sexy black loafers, he looked green carpet ready.

VICKY KAUSHAL

Styled by Amandeep Kaur, Vicky joined the glam-bam soiree in a bespoke tuxedo by Nauman Piyarji. He opted for velvet Jimmy Choo shoes to complement his suave tux and bow-tie.

ISHAAN KHATTER

Our Beyond the Clouds star looked dapper on the green carpet in a crisp navy blue striped suit paired with a black tee. A pair of shiny loafers added finishing touches to his look.

RITEISH DESHMUKH

Riteish opted for an ethnic ensemble from designer Manish Malhotra.  His navy blue Jodhpuri featured a silver shoulder detailing. Sleek black shoes rounded off his attire.

Apart from these, there were few people who missed the mark this time.

RANVEER SINGH

Styled by Nitasha Gaurav, Ranveer failed to impress us with his Moschino suit this time around. Grey suit with a crimson drape and high boots paired with a ponytail, there was too much going on with this look and sadly, we dint like any! Too unconventional for our taste…

HONEY SINGH

This was by far, the most disastrous look. Animal print trench with a loose tee and baggy pants didn’t compliment each other at all. Layers of gold accessories and big boots paired with his ensemble were extremely overwhelming.  A big NO!
