The 72nd Festival de Cannes started its course on May 14, 2019. Being one of the biggest red carpet events of all time, Cannes 2019 paved the way for a sartorial soiree that we await all year! With shine, shimmers and extravagant attires, our B-town celebs have graced the prestigious red carpet giving us looks to drool upon.
Representing Chopard, L’Oréal and Grey Goose respectively, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut stunned us with their looks one by one on the same day. Glamour overdose, literally! While our damsel divas graced the red carpet of this prestigious gala with their smashing looks for the first round of appearances, clearly, one of them outshone the others.
Styled by Ami Patel, Queen Kangana was first to arrive amongst all. Embracing ethnicity in a contemporary way, she charmed us in her gold Madhurya Kanjeevaram saree paired with an embellished corset by Falguni Shane Peacock. With mauve coloured gloves accentuating her look furthermore, surely was Queen of Hearts on the red carpet. Pairing her look with a classic hairdo and a no accessory look, she stole the hearts and how!
Absolutely nothing about her look was flawed as she graced the red carpet with finesse and poise!
Moving on from one queen to another, Rani Padmavati pulled out a classic monochrome look on us, making us drool over her beauty. Styled by Shaleena Nathani, Deepika donned a custom Dundas couture in the combination of black and cream with a long train. Her dreamy winged eyes and edgy high pony added a dramatic look to her outfit. Drop danglers by Lorraine Schwartz and Aquazzura heels completed her attire.
However, as stunning as it was, we feel that Deepika started her Cannes appearances for the year with a bit too much of drama!
PRIYANKA CHOPRA JONAS
Last to arrive amongst all was our beloved PeeCee. This being her Cannes debut, all eyes were obviously glued on this ace fashionista. Keeping a vintage theme in mind as hinted by her Instagram posts, Piggy Chops dazzled at the French Riviera in a shimmery and embellished Roberto Cavalli couture. Her strapless gown with a combination of pink and black had a thigh-high slit and a long trail. Chopard accessories and soft glam rounded off the look of this embellished beauty
We found nothing unconventional about her look. Too safe… don't you think?
With Round 1 of red carpet appearances done, Kangana’s fusional attire is a standout stunner amongst all.
