the met gala
The Met Gala's theme this year was 'The Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & Catholic Imagination' was one of the biggest headliners this year.
From Rihanna's crowning glory to Blake Lively's ethereal number and Priyanka's Ralph Lauren column dress, we had a lot to look forward to(or backward even). While we saw a lot of misses as well, we love the fact that there were more hits to reminisce.

Jennifer Lopez's green dress
Jennifer Lopez and her fashion choices are often questionable. One of the biggest headline makers this year was the singer-actress' green dress.
The audience and the fashion police criticized it alike and we're just wondering what was her thought process like. I mean, should we call it a dress or a piece of cloth living on a string?
The royal wedding
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding has undoubtedly sealed the deal as one of the biggest headliners this year. From the extravagant affair, to her dreamy wedding dress, till the star-studded guest list and the dazzling #OOTD's, we saw it all.
More than the wedding itself, the Indian audience went bonkers over the fact that our dearest Priyanka Chopra was one of the attendees at the wedding. And all in her custom #OOTD's. I mean, wowza!

We saw some undoubtedly awesome and some utterly fail costumes this year. The two major looks that caught our attention were the Kardashian sisters dressing up as VS Angels and lovebirds Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas.
Simply dreamy is what we'd call it. Are you drooling as well?
beyonce v/s deepika
We have to put some light on the style wars event that happened quite recently when the legendary artist, Beyonce wore the same Ashi Studio ensemble at one of her performances as did Deepika Padukone at the Cannes Film Festival.
While the pink couture number is a statement in s=itself, the fans of the respective artists couldn't decide who wore it better.

Kim Kardashian's money dress
This has to be one of the most bizarre things Kim wore this year. Latex dresses and utterly high slits is something we'll still consider a faux pas, but this money dress was outrageously stupid.
One can only dream of having so much money that they can wear it, but who actually does that?
Cannes Film Festival
Like every year, the Cannes Film Festival caught a lot of headlines this year.
From being one of the most prestigious film festivals around the globe to becoming a total fashion-centric red carpet event, we love everything about it.
How can we resist so much glamour, all under one roof? Gotta love it!

While we enjoy the classic ensembles and the pretty faces, we also love us some fresh, contemporary take on fashion and styling.
Including the likes of Lucy Hale, Lily Collins, Hailee Steinfeld,Lana Condor, Millie Bobby Brown and sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid we saw a lot of newbies on the block trying their hand at the sartorial sector.
We say they're playing all the right cards and flying out with splashing colors, wouldn't you agree?
