From rocking a pantsuit to a sari, let's look at Mahira Khan’s Cannes sojourn this year

Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan, who was named the first Pakistani brand ambassador for make-up giant L’Oreal last year, is currently attending the 71st Cannes Film Festival and winning our hearts over with her fabulous comfort-meets-style sartorial choices. While our Indian starlets like Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai have wrapped up their appearances at the Festival de Cannes, Mahira is still in the French Riviera slaying and how!

Mahira, who is every director’s delight, is a real classic fashionista off-screen and heads are compelled to turn the moment she enters a room. Cut to her Cannes debut, she left no stone unturned to carve her niche and won hearts all over with her minimalistic yet elegant choices.

Let’s take a look at Cannes sojourn this year:

Bright and white

Soaking up under the sun, Mahira opted for an Elan ensemble, including a crossover bustier paired with harem pants on the seventh day of Festival de Cannes. She added the much-needed pop of colour to a rather plain outfit with a colourful printed NisaNur kimono. Mahira totally owned the summer style makeup as she rounded off her look in peachy lips, minimal makeup on the lines of nude and a highlighter on point. Her hair pulled back into a sophisticated bun with long plankton earrings from Zohra Rehman complemented her look.

And it was all Yellow...

Mahira further took the style barometer high as she opted for a yellow flowy silk blouse paired with black bell bottoms from Solace London paired with a patent white belt. She further rounded off her look with black Christian Louboutin heels and dangles. Keeping the same makeup, Mahira let her hair down for loose waves.

Boss-lady

Dressing on the lines of Kangana Ranaut and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Mahira too made a drastic change from her elegant attire and transformed into a boss-lady with her power dressing in a floral pant-suit by Tom Wood. With parted hair, beige pumps and Afrodite earrings by Caprice Decadent Bohemian, she kept accessories and makeup to bare minimum, allowing her couture to make the right noise.

Nothing better than a Sari

The Raees actor then chose a pastel pink saree by Menahel and Mehreen with hand-pleated trimmings and oh, boy she looked stunning. Pairing her beautiful ensemble with a contrasting hand-sewn crystal blouse which had floral embellishments on it, Mahira complimented her look with a messy fish braid and teardrop earrings by Aliel Jewellers while nude lips and winged eyeliner rounded off her look.

Floral princess

Clad in a dull grey bardot dress from Blumarine Spring Summer 2018 collection, Mahira looked gorgeous in the floor-length chiffon gown with a beautiful anemone print and balloon sleeves. She rounded off her look with open tresses and light curls while dewy makeup complemented her summer look.

Red-carpet diva

For her debut at the Cannes red carpet, Mahira wore a Alberta Ferretti creation as she put her best foot forward for the screening of the film BlacKkKlansman. Her elan ensemble, a strapless black taffeta gown, accentuated her waist. Keeping her accessories minimalist with just a Chopard necklace, earrings and a bracelet, her look was rounded off with scarlet lips, winged eyeliner and hair kept open with a neat side parting.

Elegance personified

Mahira was next seen dressed in a wine and black coloured body-hugging gown by Nicolas Jebran for the Chopard party. Her off shoulder ensemble with an exaggerated balloon sleeve made her look sultry and she kept her ensemble minimalistic with dewy makeup, winged eyeliner and hair tied in a bun. Shoes from Giuseppe Zanotti complimented her look further.

Beautiful like a lilac

Mahira was next seen dressed in a strapless lilac ensemble from Maison Yeya and she looked flawless. Keeping her accessories to the minimal with just ‘Chaand Sitara’ earrings from Kiran FIne Jewellery, Mahira rounded off her look with loose tresses and dewy makeup. giving us major summer makeup goals too.

Power dressing

Last but not the least, Mahira opted for a powder blue pant suit Ermanno Scervino as she soaked up the sun in the beautiful French Riviera. She paired it up with a shirt and looked nothing less than a boss-lady. Loose tresses and dewy makeup rounded off her look.

We just love how Mahira is making a statement by not trying too hard!
