Here’s how Kangana Ranaut channeled her inner bad girl with her debut at Cannes 2018

The Cannes Film Festival kickstarted in the French Riviera on Tuesday, and we've witnessed some amazing red-carpet appearances already. While many aced their summer-ready looks but played it safe including Deepika Padukone, others left no chance to make some noise by experimenting with each of their looks. Namely, Kangana Ranaut. From personifying elegance in a shimmery black Sabyasachi sari and sheer Zuhair Murad gown to embracing boldness in an embroidered catsuit Nedo By Nedret Taciroglu, Kangana opted for plunging necklines and sheer fabric that accentuated her body. Needless to say, the Queen actress nailed her debut at Cannes and how!

While she totally slayed it at the red carpet, her off-duty fashion game was also on point. Be it her retro-inspired separates paired with a bra to slipping in a cute Elisabetta Franchi dress, Kangana hit the streets of the pretty French town oozing confidence like no other.

Let's do a roundup of Kangana's mesmerizing looks from Cannes 2018 that brought out her inner bold avatar:

BOLLYWOOD meets AUDREY HERBURN

As soon as Kangana reached the town in the South of France, she changed into a black sequined saree by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She seemed to have channeled her inner Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s with her retro-styled hair and makeup. Donning a sparkling choker necklace with embedded diamonds, emeralds and pearls from the designer's collection, she looked stunning.

Elegance personified

Kangana made her much-awaited debut at the Cannes red carpet look donning a see-through Zuhair Murad gown with silver threadwork. The sheer-train dress was paired with no jewellery and Kangana pinned up her curls. Her look was rounded off with a flush of pink on cheeks and lip and smokey eyes.

Red hot Leather

After her stunning debut at the red carpet, Kangana channelled her inner bad girl in a red leather dress by Nanushka, which came with a deep V-halter neckline and a front centre slit. Styled by Lorna McGee, she completed her red button-up look with Poppy Lissiman shades and white shoes from Neous.

Peek-a-boo

Kangana next slipped into a head-to-toe Trussardi look, wearing a chic menswear-inspired jacket, bra and trousers, which she accessorized with a necklace by Alighieri. Sunglasses from Poppy Lissiman completed her look. And those dark lips, they were sensational! She certainly killed it with all that sass and how!

Summer vibes

Before hitting the red carpet on her second day, Kangana was spotted on the streets wearing a blue short-sleeved Elisabetta Franchi mini dress with cute embellishments. She rounded off her look with Dior sunglasses, lemon yellow Tod’s mini purse and a classic pair of Louboutins with her hair tied back in a pony-tail.

ROCK MEETS PUNK

When Kangana hit the Cannes red carpet for the second time, she adorned an embroidered catsuit Nedo By Nedret Taciroglu. She rounded off her shimmery look with metallic eye shadows and smoky eyes. The ensemble perfectly complemented her slender frame by being a perfect mix of sensuality with the drama of the fabric, and boldness of the cut. Her hair was done in a messy lose locks. Ditching the red carpet dress code proved to be a bang on call!

Shimmy SHIMMY AYE

In her last outing, Kangana wore a black shimmery sequins dress – with a blue sequin scarf as part of the dress. The outfit was made by the famous Halpern Studio. She added a little more glam to her attire with Louboutin shoes. Kangana kept makeup minimal and kept her curly mane away from the glamorous face.

Kangana was perhaps a surprise and gorgeous breakout star at Cannes this year and we cannot stop applauding.
