Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala’s latest collaboration, Sikandar, already seems to be a blockbuster in the making. The AR Murugadoss-directed action entertainer, set to release on Eid 2025 weekend, is creating a lot of anticipation among cinegoers and is expected to propel Salman back into the top league.
The excitement surrounding Sikandar grows further as we hear that the hit machine, Pritam Chakraborty, has come aboard to compose the music for this action thriller. “Sajid Nadiadwala’s previous films with Salman Khan have been musical blockbusters, and he aims to continue their musical legacy with this movie as well. Pritam, the esteemed music director known for his melodies across all genres, is well-versed with Sajid’s expectations and has promised the producer to deliver a chartbuster album that will instantly captivate audiences,” a source close to the development told us, adding that Pritam has already begun working on the melodies for Sikandar.
The film marks a sort of reunion between Pritam, Sajid, and Salman, who have frequently worked together on various projects individually. The AR Murugadoss film will be Pritam’s eighth project for Sajid’s banner, following Phantom, Dishoom, Kalank, Chhichhore, Tadap, '83, and the upcoming Chandu Champion, while Pritam and Salman have previously teamed up on Ready, Bodyguard, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Tubelight, and most recently, Tiger 3.
AR Murugadoss, the Tamil filmmaker popularly known for blockbuster Thalapathy Vijay movies such as Thuppakki, Kaththi, and Sarkar, is returning to Hindi cinema after eight years. He previously directed Aamir Khan’s 200-crore grosser Ghajini, Akshay Kumar’s Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Akira, all three of which were remakes of popular Tamil films. Whether his new Salman Khan film is also a remake or an original script is yet unknown, but it's said to be packed with drama, emotions, and high-octane action sequences, carrying a powerful social message along the way.
