Telugu filmmaker Hanu Raghavapudi has been in demand ever since he scored a blockbuster with Sita Ramam this year. The success of the Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, and Rashmika Mandanna starrer period love story brought him back to the limelight, establishing him as one of the most sought-after directors in the Telugu film industry. Hanu has since been offered multiple projects by the top production houses, and while there’s an intense curiosity regarding his next project, he hasn’t yet announced anything so far. Four months into his career-defining movie, we hear Hanu has started working on his next project.
Peepingmoon.com has exclusively learned that Hanu Raghavapudi is next doing a big-scale Pan-India film with superstar Ram Charan. The yet-untitled film is said to be a romantic entertainer with a dash of action and will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers. "Hanu and Ram Charan have had multiple meetings in the past few weeks, and they have agreed to collaborate on a fictional period drama. It’s Hanu Raghavapudi’s dream project and will be mounted on a massive scale, with a plan to release it in multiple languages across India. Ram Charan has okayed the project and will shortly sign on the dotted line," an industry source told us, adding that the official announcement of the film is expected to be made by the end of this month.

Termed as #RC17, the Hanu Raghavapudi directorial is said to be a two-hero project and will feature a big Tamil movie star alongside Ram Charan. The director is in talks with several actors for the parallel lead, but no one has been finalised as of yet. Hanu has started prepping for the film and is expected to take it to the floor around February or March 2023. "It’s a dream project that Hanu has been hoping to make for a long time, and Sita Raman’s unprecedented success has given him the opportunity to bring that dream finally to the big screen. With Ram Charan headlining the cast and Mythri Movie Makers bankrolling it, the movie has just gotten bigger and better. Everything has fallen into place as Hanu wanted, and he is all set to kick off the shooting early next year," the source further added. The director was earlier supposed to helm a Hindi film starring Sunny Deol and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, but he has shelved that film for the time being to concentrate on the Ram Charan starter.
Ram Charan is currently busy with S. Shankar’s political drama #RC15 and only after finishing this Dil Raju production will he head to his next projects. The RRR actor is also doing a sports drama with Uppena director Buchi Babu Sana, known as #RC16; however, it’s yet unclear which film he will shoot first between the sports drama and Hanu’s film.
