The buzz surrounding Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan has been insane ever since the first teaser released. The film, which stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday & Dhairya Karwa in the lead roles, is one of the most anticipated films of 2022. In an exclusive candid conversation with PeepingMoon’s Entertainment Correspondent Rashita Sahni, Ananya Panday opened up about working in yet another multi-starrer after Student Of The Year 2 and Pati Patni Aur Woh and & not shying away from working in a multi-starrer!
When asked if she felt intimidated while working with a superstar like Deepika, Ananya started off by saying, "No, honestly as you can see with both Pati Patni Aur Woh and Student of The Year 2 in that way, I have never shied away from doing multi-starrer films and ensemble films. Because honestly, it's a blessing for me when I am performing with stronger performers than I am because it helps my performance in that way as well and I don't want to be like 'mera role kitna hai or how many scenes/lines I have' and I am really not like that. As an actor, I just wanna grow and keep doing roles that challenge me and help me evolve."
The actress further added, "It can be one scene in a film or it can be a whole film, I just wanna keep doing something different and changing in that way. And when it comes to working with Deepika, Siddhant and Dhairya, no one ever made anyone feel uncomfortable. We all became and still are very very close, it's almost like a family. There was no intimidation. It was conducive, everyone was helping one another. The film has to work in the end!"
Jointly backed by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios in association with Batra's Jouska Films, Gehraiyaan is an Amazon Original film that will start streaming from February 11.
