Kajol was a tomboy on the sets of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai: Himani Shivpuri

Producer-director Karan Johar, flag bearer of Dharma Productions started his directorial innings with the iconic love story Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The film completes 20 glorious years today. With Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kajol in the pivotal roles, it went on to break several records at the box office and turned out to be a trendsetter in every possible manner.

Veteran actress Himani Shivpuri, who played Rifat Bi, warden of the girls’ hostel in the film, shares her memories of working on the film with PeepingMoon.com. The actress said, “It was such a beautiful experience to shoot Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. It was fun shooting, especially the college portions. Kajol used to trouble us so much that Karan used to get irritated. She was playing a tomboy role and it was relatable to her real life. Often the shot was ready and she was busy eating sandwiches."
