TZH villain Sajjad Delafrooz wants to screen his directorial in Mumbai

Iranian actor Sajjad Delafrooz, whose presence as the baddie opposite Salman Khan in Tiger Zinda Hai last year made an impact but did not open Bollywood’s doors for him fully, is trying to establish his presence here in another way. He’s directed a film of his own that he intends to announce soon and subsequently screen in Mumbai. It is called Dreamer.

Talking about Dreamer to PeepingMoon.com, Sajjad said, “I have written and directed it. I shot my film with zero budget and will send it to various film festivals. I am looking for the right opportunity to screen it in Mumbai this year.”

Elaborating, Sajjad added, “Dreamer revolves around the endless epidemic involving crushing of hopes and dreams by those who take advantage of trusting people desperate to reach their goals. It follows the recollection of a young woman who set out to become an actor but through her encounters ends up on a totally different path. The film is expressed through her expression and pain.”

Sajjad had earlier directed a 5-minute film titled The Choice (2016) that showed the Arab dynamics in current times in which he acted himself. Before Tiger Zinda Hai, he was seen in Baby (2015) and Kung Fu Yoga (2017). Earlier, he had featured in the Danish TV series Follow the Money in 2016 followed by a television film Journey in the same year.
