The Primetime Queens

Emmys mark the 69th year of honouring and celebrating the best on TV. Every year stars descend to LA to attend the gala night.  Celebs try to be at their sartorial best and how! Here’s our list of the red carpet looks we like.

Nicole Kidman looked ravishing in a red Calvin Klein by Appointment gown which she paired it up with mismatched pink heels. Initially, it looked like she is wearing pink heels but one close look at the picture and we get to see the mismatched shoes, she did it for the second time on red carpet.

Netflix original’s Strange Things star Millie Bobby Brown made her mark in a ballerina-inspired tulle gown. Just 13-year-old and she looked like a dream in that white Calvin Klein by Appointment dress.

Desi girl Priyanka Chopra who was also one of the presenters this year wore a custom-made white embellished, curve-hugging gown by Balmain. The bodice and the neck of the gown featured embellishments with a feather trail.

Actor Sarah Paulson arrived in a silver sequined, puffed sleeves Carolina Herrera dress which is right out of designer’s New York Fashion Week runway show.

Modern Family actor Sofia Vergara ditched her signature blowout and tousled waves for a sky-high ponytail and brow-skimming bangs. She accentuated her curves in a body-hugging white strapless fishtail gown.

Black beauty Viola Davis dazzle in a Zac Posen gown Harry Winston jewels. Davis made history at the 2015 Emmys, becoming the first black actress to win in best actress category.

Lea Michele turns the head in a beautiful Elie Saab gown. She made a dramatic choice with royal purple attire as she wore her dark locks straight, accessorizing with a pair of purple sapphire, emerald and white diamond Lorraine Schwartz earrings.

The Sinner star Jessica Biel wore a silver Ralph and Russo gown. The TV star's shimmering frock had a plunging back and a sheer cape-like detail, adding, even more, glamour to the eye-catching look. Her Hair was done in a 1960s-era style with cascading waves.

After taking a break from work to raise a family Michelle Pfeiffer is back. She turned heads as she walked down the red carpet in a gossamer black semi-sheer dress. At 59, it looks like she hasn’t aged at all.

Gabrielle Union chose a sheer lace Zuhair Murad dress for this year’s EMMY.  Usually donning a Prada or Rodarte this year Union played up more on her feminine side.

Evan Rachel Wood ditched the regular ‘gown’ this year and showed up in custom Jeremy Scott for Moschino and Neil Lane pantsuit. She was nominated in the best actress category for her role in HBO drama Westworld.

Mandy Moore looked stunning in a strapless black and white Carolina Herrera tiered gown with a black bustier and flared tulle skirt.
