August 2026 is set to be a special month for producer Dinesh Vijan and his production company, Maddock Films. It's rare in Bollywood for two major films from a major banner to release in theaters in the same month. However, Maddock Films is set to achieve this rare feat.

The month will begin on August 7th with "Prahaar - The Ujjwal Nikam Story," a film based on the life of renowned public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in lead roles. The film's release date has already been finalized. Exactly three weeks later, on August 28th, during the Rakshabandhan weekend, "Eetha" will hit theaters. 

Directed by Laxman Utekar, this biographical drama will see Shraddha Kapoor portray the legendary Marathi folk artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar for the first time. The film also stars Randeep Hooda and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles. "Eetha" is not just a biopic, but an attempt to present Maharashtra's folk culture, Tamasha, and Lavani heritage on the big screen. This is said to be one of the most challenging roles of Shraddha Kapoor's career.

After a string of successful films, Maddock Films is now considered one of the most trusted banners in content-driven cinema. Consequently, August 2026 could prove to be not just a month of two releases for Dinesh Vijan, but also a major showcase of his ambitious theatrical strategy.
