Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh is beaming with joy to step into the world of mainstream Bollywood with Ghis Ghis Ghis track from Welcome To The Jungle, headlined by Akshay Kumar. Describing it as one of the biggest opportunities of her career, Akshara adds that she grew up dancing to Akshay’s songs and never imagined that she would share the screen space with him.
However, what impressed her the most was Akshay Kumar’s sincerity on the sets. "He kept asking me how to pronounce every line correctly and understand the tone and meaning behind the lyrics,” she shared and also recalled being moved when Akshay Kumar stepped in after she was asked to sport a stereotypical ghaghra-choli look for a still. "He told the team to let me wear what I was comfortable in. That touched me deeply,” she added, and it simply reestablishes Akshay Kumar as a man of manners and masses.
Singh was also moved by the respect she received from choreographer Ganesh Acharya. "People often have preconceived notions about Bhojpuri artistes, but Ganesh sir told his assistants, 'Usko chhod do, wo faadu artiste hai'," she shared and continued, “Abhi tak jitne gaane aaye, wo sab Bhojpuri touch ke Hindi gaane the. Iss baar pehli baar, Akshay sir ne pura Bhojpuri gaana, Bhojpuri bhaasha mein kiya, so ye aur badi baat ho gayi."
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has won hearts by embodying the Bhojpuri knack in Ghis Ghis Ghis track from Welcome To The Jungle, and his new avatar adds a solid punch to the number. Composed by Vikram Montrose, Ghis Ghis Ghis brings together vocals of Vikram Montrose and Supriyaa Paathak, with lyrics penned by Abhinav Shekhar.
