Pooja Hegde gears up to ignite the big screens yet again with David Dhawan’s upcoming rom-com, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai - and honestly, the actress is on a roll! During the film’s trailer launch event, Pooja revealed she never dreamed of becoming an actress and never saw it as a ‘job that was possible’.

Writer Rumi Jaffrey shared an anecdote stating, “I have known her since she was in the 8th grade. I had told her parents that she’d become a heroine one day. She was destined for it.” Pooja Hegde then revealed how he advised her to try her hand in the film industry.

“Never had I thought in my dreams that I’d become an actress. I come from a very academically-driven family, and nobody in my family has worked even closely in films. When I go to watch a film, I only used to watch it as a film. I didn’t even think of it as a job that was possible. I remember Rumi sir had told me to try my hand in films, but I was not very sure of it,” she shared.

Pooja Hegde has witnessed a meteoric rise in her career so far and has established herself as a pan-India powerhouse.
