Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passes away at 92 after hospitalisation in mumbai

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle, who was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital yesterday following complaints of a chest infection and severe weakness, has passed away. She breathed her last on Sunday at the age of 92, sending a wave of grief through the music fraternity.

According to doctors, she was suffering from a severe chest infection compounded by physical exhaustion. Her condition was under constant monitoring following her admission to the hospital; however, despite medical treatment, her health failed to show the expected improvement. Her condition deteriorated suddenly on Sunday morning, and she breathed her last.

During her hospitalization, the family handled the situation privately and maintained a distance from the media. As news of her demise emerged, close family members expressed their profound grief, describing this loss as irreparable.

Over a magnificent career spanning nearly eight decades, Asha Bhosle elevated the art of music to new heights. She adapted herself to the musical trends of every era and carved a unique identity for herself through thousands of songs. Her voice possessed a versatility that endeared her to every generation.
