Oscars 2026: A Major Victory for ‘One Battle After Another’; Michael B. Jordan and Jessie Buckley Also Win Key Awards

The Oscars 2026,  world's most prestigious film awards ceremony was held in grand style at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. At this 98th Academy Awards ceremony, films and artists from across the globe were honored. From the red carpet to the award announcements, the entire evening was filled with glamour, emotion, and numerous surprises.

This year, the film ‘One Battle After Another’ stole the spotlight at the ceremony. The film secured victories in several key categories including Best Picture and remained a major topic of conversation throughout the night. Its director, Paul Thomas Anderson, was also honored with the award for Best Director.

Several big names also emerged in the acting categories. Michael B. Jordan received the Best Actor award for the film ‘Sinners,’ while Jessie Buckley was honored with the Best Actress award for her brilliant performance in ‘Hamnet.’ Meanwhile, Sean Penn won Best Supporting Actor for ‘One Battle After Another,’ and Amy Madigan received the Best Supporting Actress award for the film ‘Weapons.’

Several other films also left their mark in other categories. ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ won the award for Best Animated Film, while ‘Sentimental Value’ claimed the title of Best International Feature Film. In the technical categories, ‘F1’ was honored for Best Sound, and ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ was recognized for Best Visual Effects.
