Zee Studios and BLive Productions have released the teaser for Rahu Ketu, and everyone who has seen it is saying that the film's fun way of combining mythology with contemporary times is unheard of in Hindi cinema. Rahu and Ketu, whose names often evoke a sense of dread in astrology, are portrayed by the film as two complex, ordinary, yet incredibly funny modern humans who can't even manage their own destiny but are tasked with managing the universe.
The teaser begins with Piyush Mishra's mysterious avatar, a sort of astrology guru with more knowledge of "disha" and "dasha" than the entire universe. But from here, the story suddenly takes a turn that leaves the audience in splits. After a strange coincidence, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma transform into modern-day Rahu and Ketu and this is where the film's "cosmic chaos" begins: fates go awry, planets go haywire, and two boys who can't even balance their own lives suddenly begin to impact the universe.
Even a brief glimpse of Shalini Pandey is striking suggesting that the story is about to be filled with trouble, romance... or both. The film is written and directed by Vipul Vigthe, the same writer behind the memorable comedy of Fukrey. The Fukrey duo backPulkit and Varun but this time the stage for the comedy is bigger: the universe caught between fate, planets, karma, and chaos.
Overall, Rahu Ketu looks like a film where the universe is adrift, the planets are moving in the wrong direction, but the laughter hits the right spot. The film will be released in theaters on January 16, 2026.
