Ranvir Shorey at 53: A journey of versatile roles and lasting impact in bollywood

Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey is celebrating his 53rd birthday today. He has made a special identity in the industry with his strong acting and different style. Ranvir has worked with big stars like Big B, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, but he has always left a different mark on the basis of his talent.

Ranvir Shorey was born on 18 August 1972 in Jalandhar, Punjab. After completing his early education from there, he got inclined towards theater. His passion for acting brought him to films. In 2002, he started his film career with Ek Chhoti Si Love Story. After this, he did one film after another. Ranvir won the hearts of the audience by playing the role of Vishal in 2003's Jism. In 2004, he played the role of Tarseem Singh in Lakshya. In the 2006 comedy film Khosla Ka Ghosla, his role as Bunty garnered a lot of laughter. His comic timing as Ranjit Thadani in 2007's Bheja Fry was amazing. 

In 2008's Singh Is King, Punit's small but funny role was well received by the audience. In 2017, his intense acting in Blue Mountains and Kadvi Hawa was highly appreciated. He played the lead role of Ramesh in 2018's Halka. His character in the story of Chambal dacoits in 2019's Sonchiriya was also very popular. Apart from this, Ranvir also showed his acting prowess in films like Ek Tha Tiger, Chandni Chowk to China, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Traffic Signal, Angrezi Medium and Kadak.

Ranvir Shorey's name was once associated with Pooja Bhatt. Later he married actress Konkana Sen Sharma in 2010. In 2011, both became parents of a son Haroon. Although both got divorced in 2020, even today they raise their son together.
